Agusta Museum

MV Agusta motorcycles, helicopters, aircraft engines, avionics and mechanical components: a corporate museum that retraces a fundamental stage in the development of the national airplane, helicopter and motorcycle building.

The Fondazione Museo Agusta tells the story of the Costruzioni aeronautiche Giovanni Agusta (now AgustaWestland Spa) and MV Agusta. Among a complete collection of motorbike products, the Racing Department stands out. Helicopters can be seen and touched, to show the technology underlying the rotary wing, construction techniques, materials used for the aircrafts of yesterday and today.

Since 2012, next to the Museum are the Historical Archive / Library of the Foundation, inaugurated in the adjacent Villa Agusta. Here, in addition to a small technical aviation library, the Archives of the Company are preserved: particularly rich in designs and technical reports, photographs, films and typically administrative documents. Currently it is not open to the public except for special exhibitions.

The importance of the Historical Archive allowed the Soprintendenza for the Lombardy Region to start the process to officialize the cultural and historical value of the archives preserved here.
