National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci

Founded in 1953 is the biggest technical and scientific museum in Italy and one of the most important in Europe. It is hosted in a olivetan monastery from the sixteenth century in the heart of Milan.

Over the course of its history it gathered and displayed objects, machines and documents to represent the most important steps of the scientific and technological development, with particulat attention to the history of our country.

It is the museum where:

  • explore the collections dedicated to transportations, materials, energy, communication and the new area about space;
  • discover the most important collection of models and machines built from Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings;
  • experiment the new scientific and technological fronteers;
  • hop on board of the Toti Submarine and experience the thrill of the sailors during navigation;
  • take in the view of the command deck of the transatlantic Conte Biancamano as well as the Ebe schooner;
  • participate in interactive activities and kick off your creativity in the Tinkering Zone;
  • be guided in the visit and access to extra contents with the new application MuseoscienzApp.
