MUSIL – Museum of Industry and Labour “Eugenio Battisti”

MUSIL has three sites: the open warehouse in Rodengo Saiano, with a permanent exhibition dedicated to movies and cartoons; the museum of hydropower in Cedegolo; the iron museum of San Bartolomeo(Brescia).

This group of museums, together with the future headquarters that will be set in a redeveloped abandoned industrial area near the center of Brescia, describe the history and memory of Italian industrialization: the main production chains (typography, film, computer, mechanical, textile, food etc.), the biographies of women and men at work, the impact of industry on society - consumptions, daily life, territory.

The museum’s heritage includes a large collection of movies, posters, historical photos and industrial machines, among which are items of great historic and symbolic value.
